ILLUMINATED SIGNS / LED PLANNING

Plan the lighting
behind the face.

Lay out LED modules, check wiring reach and plan power supplies alongside the tray and backing. Keep the lighting plan with the rest of the sign job.

REAL CASE STUDY / COHENS

See the modules
in the sign.

The saved Cohens layout shows LED positions, strings and connections in the actual app. It is a planning view from a real job.

The saved LED layout for the Cohens case study. Check the final module positions and wiring as the sign is made.

Choose modules and spacing.

Import your artwork first. In Lighting, choose the modules and spacing, then use Generate LED Layout.

Refine their positions.

Move modules to suit the artwork and construction. Check seams, tray edges and wiring reach before keeping the layout.

Keep your manual changes.

Generating a new layout replaces the previous layout and manual moves. Save a separate job before trying another arrangement.

BRIGHTNESS & POWER SUPPLIES

Review the plan
before fitting it.

Use the lighting tools to compare a proposed arrangement and review what it needs.

Compare estimated brightness.

Brightness planner lets you review an estimate before applying a layout. Read Estimate assumptions and confirm the lighting effect on the actual sign.

Plan supplies and feeds.

After applying the LED layout, review module load, supply capacity and feeds in LED and Power. Use the correct electrical data for your chosen modules.

The on-screen plan and brightness estimate support your checks. Confirm module choice, wiring and finished light output through your normal electrical and workshop checks.

BACKING & WORKSHOP DRAWINGS

Keep the layout
and backing together.

Review backing profiles, drilling and LED guides together. Check that they line up with the artwork and the parts you will make.

Keep markings separate from cuts.

Inspect exported LED guides in CAM. Use LED-row guides for shallow marking, rather than cutting through the sheet. Check every tool assignment before machining.

Help with LED layouts and markings

Review the production files.

Production DXF exports need a licence. Check exported profiles, drilling and marking layers in your CAM software before manufacture.
