ACM TRAYS & FASCIA RUNS

Design sign trays
and fascia runs.

Bring survey dimensions, material choices and DXF artwork into one design. Tray Master helps you plan an aluminium composite sign tray or a fascia that turns a corner.

FROM DIMENSIONS TO A FLAT PATTERN

Start with the tray
you need to make.

Enter dimensions in millimetres and set the returns and corners. Apply the changes, then check the result against your survey.

The fictional Willow & Wren Café tray in the actual app: 1,800 × 600 mm with 60 mm returns. The flat pattern is shown from the rear machining side, so the lettering is mirrored.

Set the construction.

Keep the width, height, returns and corner details together. Choose Apply geometry changes when prompted to update the drawing.

Choose your material.

Select the ACM material, finish and sheet size you intend to use. Custom sheet dimensions let you plan around your own stock.

Bring in the artwork.

Use Import DXF Artwork. Check the lettering and graphics for size, position and orientation before moving on.

REAL CASE STUDY / COHENS

A fascia that
turns the corner.

Set up each straight leg and the corner angles from your survey. Import artwork for the selected leg and check how the design meets at the join.

The real Cohens case study: the two-leg fascia artwork in Tray Master. This rear-machining view shows mirrored lettering.

Check each leg.

Review leg dimensions, end returns and corner angles together. Check both artwork positions before settling on the design.

Keep an earlier version.

Use Save As… before a substantial change. Keep the original design while you try another arrangement.

CHECK THE DRAWING, THEN PLAN PRODUCTION

Look at the details
before cutting.

Use Flat pattern and Fit drawing to inspect returns, seams and machining detail. Check the displayed dimensions and which side of the material you are viewing.

Move on to sheet planning.

Review face, backing and acrylic parts on the chosen sheets. Check panel sizes, joins and transport before preparing production DXFs.

Check fit in the workshop.

The 3D backing preview is still being refined. Use the manufacturing drawings and physical fit checks, rather than setting drilling positions from the 3D image alone.
